How do I work with a Virtual Assistant?
Working with a VA can be daunting at first but trust me using a Virtual Assistant will save you hours in your work week! Most Virtual Assistants work on a contract or freelance basis. We can work from anywhere and everywhere. VA’s can be local to you and spend a few hours a week with you in your office or alternatively, your VA can be on the other side of the world and communicate via online video calls and email. Knowing which roles to delegate to your VA can be tricky but a good VA knows how to listen to your needs and work out a great plan for you to move forward.
What is a Virtual Assistant?
A Virtual Assistant is a self-employed independent contractor providing various business support services from their own office to small and medium businesses. A Virtual Assistant is a task doer. A typical VA will do digital marketing tasks, administrative tasks, schedule appointments and even run personal errands. These dynamic team members are the workhorses of your business. A specialised VA will have an area of expertise - ie bookkeeping, event management, HR, websites and many more.
The core purpose of a Virtual Assistant
As business owners you need to think about what your core role is. What it is you actually do for a living and love to do? What is your value to your clients? Why did you go into business in the first place?
The purpose of a VA is to enable you to do just that.
To run a successful business, you need organisation and a little bit of automation. Without it, you’d run out of hours in the day before each task was complete or client contacted.
What is an Online Business Manager
An online business manager is a strategist. OBMs concentrate more on how the project should get done rather than enforcing the tasks to make it happen.
Luckily good VA's are both virtual assistants with a little bit of online business manager mixed in.
